Medieval life sim and economic simulator, The Guild Europa 1410, has been delayed to September this year. Originally slated for an early access release in July, the developers, Ashborne Games, has said they wanted more time to implement improvements based on the feedback of fans who played the demo.
In a Steam news update, the devs highlighted what they would be adding to the early access launch (that I suppose initially was not the plan)
- One new city that acts as a tutorial area
- UI improvements that will make for a more cohesive and immersive gameplay experience
- More and better animations to properly depict the activities of workers and citizens in your city
- Support for several languages, some text only, some including voice-overs
My main contention with this new The Guild game as that it lacked immersion. This was something plenty of fans of the series has voiced out and the devs are seriously trying to improve things. I think there’s still a lot to be done here. I don’t think immersion is something you could fix by tweaking or improving the user interface.
Anyway I spoke about the issue of the demo in the video below. Give it a watch and tell me your thoughts about The Guild Europa 1410.
