In a surprise partnership, Ubisoft and strategy game publisher Hooded Horse are joining forces to publish Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, the upcoming tactical strategy game developed by Unfrozen.
While Ubisoft remains the IP owner, Hooded Horse will now handle the game’s day-to-day publishing operations, bringing its deep ties with the strategy gaming community to the project. According to Unfrozen, this partnership promises stronger marketing, wider regional reach, and better visibility for the title.
“We firmly believe that [Hooded Horse’s] expertise, combined with Ubisoft’s legacy, will allow us to make Olden Era truly successful,” said Unfrozen CEO Denis Fedorov.
Ubisoft’s chief publishing officer Alain Corre added, “Their passion for the franchise and strong connection with strategy communities makes them the perfect complement to Unfrozen’s creative talent.”
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era was first revealed in August 2024, with its early access release now planned for late 2025.
