It’s official: Total War: Warhammer 3’s next DLC, Tides of Torment, has been delayed into later 2025. Creative Assembly finally broke months of silence with a dev update that’s equal parts apology, roadmap, and damage control.
Originally slated for early this year, Tides of Torment was supposed to be the next big drop for Immortal Empires. Now, CA says they’ve pushed it back to “focus on quality” — a line you’ve probably heard before if you’ve followed the Shadows of Change drama or the $25 DLC backlash.
In the meantime? No new DLCs, no hotfixes, and basically no new content until the end of 2025. CA’s plan is to stop rushing updates and instead go all-in on fewer, more substantial releases — starting with a major free update later this year, followed by the delayed Tides of Torment DLC.
Here’s the TL;DR:
- Tides of Torment is still coming, but delayed to late 2025
- No paid content for the rest of the year
- A free major update for Immortal Empires drops before 2025 ends
- CA admits 2023 was rough and wants to rebuild trust
It’s not the news fans were hoping for — but it’s better than silence. And if CA actually pulls off a proper comeback with Tides of Torment, Warhammer 3 might finally become the game it was meant to be.
