THQ Nordic is taking another swing at The Guild franchise. After the long-silent The Guild 3 seemingly faded into the medieval mist, the publisher is pressing the reset button with The Guild – Europa 1410. Revealed during the THQ Nordic 2025 Showcase, this entry is a direct callback to Europa 1400: The Guild, the original game that kicked off the dynasty-building simulation series.
Development duties are being handed to Ashborne Games, the studio behind the tactical RTS The Last Train Home.
Set in 15th century Europe, Europa 1410 puts you in charge of a fledgling family business. You’ll start with little more than a humble trade, and the goal is to turn that into a dynasty that controls not just markets, but the town hall as well. Professions include blacksmith, alchemist, tailor, and more—each offering a distinct gameplay experience focused on production, expansion, and influence.
But this isn’t just a medieval tycoon game. Political intrigue plays a central role. To climb the social ladder, you’ll need more than coin—you’ll need clout. Charm, bribes, and blackmail are valid tools to get yourself into office. But criminal behavior can come back to haunt you if evidence lands in the wrong hands—or in court.
And if crafting wares and greasing palms isn’t your style, you can opt for a life on the other side of the law. Rob carts, pickpocket townsfolk, kidnap rivals, or spy on enemy businesses. Or go full lawman and deploy guards to patrol the streets and protect the town’s order. Your moral path shapes how the city and its people react to you.

Multiplayer also makes a return, with support for up to 12 players. Expect the usual mix of alliance-building and betrayal, with options to duel, sue, steal from, or sabotage your friends. It’s not just a sandbox—it’s a social chessboard where every move matters.
THQ Nordic is promising improved visuals and city simulation, with environments that evolve in response to player decisions. The goal seems clear: recapture the complex, sandbox charm of the original while rebuilding the series’ reputation after the missteps of The Guild 3.
The Guild – Europa 1410 has no release date yet, but it’s officially in development and aiming for both fans of the original and newcomers looking for a mix of medieval life sim, politics, and crime. Wishlist it on Steam.
