Frost Giant Studios is about to deliver something fans have been waiting for — Stormgate’s first story-driven single-player campaign is coming in the game’s next major update. Titled “Vanguard Campaign: Ashes of Earth”, this campaign marks a big milestone as Stormgate moves out of Early Access into a new phase… though it’s still not officially version 1.0.
The campaign will focus on the Vanguard faction, giving players a narrative-driven experience that blends classic RTS missions with Stormgate’s own style. It’s not just a couple of scenarios — Frost Giant says this is a full campaign designed to flesh out the world of Stormgate and give players a deeper connection to the game’s setting.
At the same time, Stormgate will leave its Early Access label behind, but don’t mistake this for a “full launch.” The game is still in active development, and the devs have been clear that version 1.0 is still a ways off. This move out of Early Access is more about confidence in the game’s stability and core experience — and a signal that Stormgate is ready for a broader audience.
With multiplayer co-op, 1v1, and now a dedicated single-player campaign on the way, Stormgate is shaping up to be the RTS comeback many were hoping for. Check it out on Steam.
