Stormgate’s official Steam launch on August 5 isn’t the end—it’s the start of a long-term rollout of features, content, and tools, according to a newly released roadmap from developer Frost Giant Studios.
The update lays out three phases: what’s in Campaign One, what’s coming in the Near Future, and what’s On the Horizon.

Currently, players can look forward to completing the full Ashes of Earth Vanguard campaign, alongside new Steam achievements, Challenger skirmish matches, and player progression systems. A Terrain Editor Alpha is now live in Sigma Labs, and changes to the Celestial economy are also part of this phase.
Next up: Team Mayhem, a mode currently in Sigma Labs, and the Game Editor Alpha with data and trigger editing capabilities. New units, additional Celestial faction updates, sound improvements, and expanded AI skirmish support are all in the works.
Further down the line, Stormgate is aiming for a major co-op overhaul and official launch of Team Mayhem. Co-op campaign support for Ashes of Earth, a new Infernal Host campaign, full editor and custom games ecosystem support, and AI placement matches via Proving Grounds are also planned. Additional free campaign missions are in the pipeline too.
With a mix of PvE, skirmish, and editor tools on the roadmap, Frost Giant seems to be targeting both casual and competitive RTS fans. For now, the message is clear: the launch may be done, but the war’s just getting started. Check it out on Steam.
We know you've been waiting patiently—and the updated roadmap is finally here!
