Steam is putting the spotlight on empire-builders with its 4X Fest, running August 11–18, 2025 from 10 a.m. Pacific. The event celebrates the four pillars of the genre — Explore, Expand, Exploit, Exterminate — with a week of discounts on popular 4X strategy games and free demos for upcoming titles.
From sprawling space conquests to historical empire management, players can sample and score deals on a range of games designed for long-term strategic domination.
