The long-running WWII strategy series continues its push into new campaigns with Panzer Corps 2: Frontlines – Westwall, a fresh DLC expansion dropping players into the bloody battles along Germany’s fortified western defenses.
Set in the aftermath of the Falaise Pocket and the liberation of Paris in 1944, the DLC shifts focus to the American advance toward the Siegfried Line. From Aachen’s bunkers to the unforgiving Hürtgen Forest and across the Roer Plains, players will face a German defense unwilling to give ground.
The campaign unfolds across 14 missions, stretching from late summer to December 1944. Players will command U.S. forces across a variety of terrains—open plains dotted with towns, swampy lowlands that bog down movement, and dense forests that funnel combat into brutal choke points. Scenarios include the Schnee Eifel, Saarlouis, the Stolberg Corridor, Metz, and North Brabant, all rendered with new maps and custom visuals.
Panzer Corps 2: Frontlines – Westwall also emphasizes tactical variety. Missions range from sweeping armored assaults to grinding urban fights, with fortified positions forcing players to adapt and exercise patience. The DLC’s dynamic difficulty design means early victories will be met with increasingly desperate and well-dug-in opposition.
In addition to its campaign content, the DLC adds new units, equipment, officer portraits, and tailored briefing materials to match the setting. A gameplay trailer has also been released, giving a closer look at the scenarios and conditions players can expect.
With Frontlines – Westwall, the series continues its approach of drilling down into specific historical campaigns, providing a focused slice of the war from the Allied perspective. This time, it’s the Americans’ push into Germany’s western defenses, where steel, mud, and attrition dictated the pace of battle. Check it out on Steam.
