Steelkrill Studio, known for The Backrooms 1998, has launched its newest title, Medievaly: Battle Simulator, on Steam today. Priced at USD 8.99 with a 20% launch discount, the game shifts from horror to real-time tactical warfare.
Medievaly: Battle Simulator is a real-time strategy game that demands constant player involvement. Unlike automated battle simulators, it requires players to deploy troops, manage resources, and adapt tactics on the fly. Every decision — from positioning archers to deploying war elephants — can decide the outcome of the battle.
Players take command of a diverse roster of units. Archers defend flanks, siege rams break gates, and war elephants disrupt enemy lines. Even farmers collect gold during combat to fund reinforcements. With no guaranteed strategy, players must plan carefully and react quickly.
The game offers several modes:
- Campaign Mode features handcrafted missions with tactical challenges.
- Sandbox Mode lets players create custom battles, choosing units, maps, and objectives. Modes include Castle Siege, Time Survival, and Kill Count.
- Survival Mode pushes players to withstand a relentless ten-minute assault, testing both strategy and reflexes.
Developer Steelkrill Studio shared, “I’ve always loved low-poly aesthetics and real-time strategy. Medievaly was my way of trying something new while creating a serious tactical experience.”
Medievaly: Battle Simulator is available now on Steam at USD 8.99 with a limited-time 20% discount. Players can command armies, build defenses, and engage in nonstop real-time battles.
