Red Hook Studios has announced Curse of the Court, the third and final Kingdoms module for Darkest Dungeon II, arriving August 28 for PC and Mac. Console players will have to wait a bit longer.
The update brings the Bloodsuckers back into the fold—vampiric enemies first introduced in Darkest Dungeon’s The Crimson Court DLC. Alongside the new faction, players can expect three new Kingdoms maps, a fresh questline, new achievements, and a unique Curse mechanic that adds a fresh layer of suffering to the mix.
“Curse of the Court” wraps up the trilogy of Kingdoms adventure modules, which began with Hunger of the Beast Clan and Secrets of the Coven. Kingdoms mode reworks the structure of the original Confessions mode, shifting focus toward defending a network of inns from increasingly hostile factions.
According to Creative Director Chris Bourassa, “the amount of complimentary content packed into Darkest Dungeon II is verging on delinquent.” Curse of the Court continues the tradition of free updates, bringing new items, mechanics, and monsters to ruin your heroes’ already miserable journey.
What’s in the Curse of the Court Update:
- New faction: The Bloodsuckers return
- 3 new maps in Kingdoms mode
- Brand new questline
- New achievements
- Curse mechanic that alters gameplay
- Free for all players on PC and Mac
In other news, Darkest Dungeon II: Anniversary Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 in Q4 2025. Published in partnership with Skybound Games, the physical edition will include:
- Steelbook
- In-game pop-up diorama
- Papercraft Stagecoach
- Playable deck of cards
- Original soundtracks
- Redemption codes for three DLCs: The Binding Blade, The Inhuman Bondage, and The Infernal Supporter Pack

That’s a wrap for the Kingdoms modules, but the dungeon never stays quiet for long. For now, sharpen your blades—there’s blood to spill.
