The Epic Games Store has launched its 2025 Summer Sale with a major free game giveaway — Civilization 6 Platinum Edition. Available now until July 24, the Platinum Edition includes the base game, the Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm expansions, plus six DLC packs.
Normally priced at $80, the Platinum Edition is free for a limited time. Even players who already own the base game can claim the full Platinum Edition and add it to their library.
This is not the first time Civilization 6 has gone free on the Epic Games Store. However, the previous giveaway in 2020 only included the base game. The 2025 offer gives players access to the complete experience with all major expansions.
The free offer runs alongside the Epic Games Store’s Summer Sale, featuring discounts on various games and boosted Epic Rewards for purchases.
Civilization 6 Platinum Edition is free on the Epic Games Store until July 24, 2025.
